Your body. Your data.
This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data Wild Woman collects while the app is in private early access, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind.
Last updated: 5 October 2026 · Version 1.0 (early-access waitlist)
We do not sell your data. Not to brands, not to advertisers, not to anyone. We collect the least we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and you can take it or erase it at any time.
1Who we are
Wild Woman (“Wild Woman”, “we”, “us”) is a women’s health companion in private development, founded by Dr Tia Kansara and Hema Kansara. For the purposes of UK and EU data-protection law, Wild Woman is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any question about your data, or you want to exercise any of the rights set out below, write to us at privacy@wildwoman.app. We read every message.
2What this policy covers
Right now, Wild Woman is a website and an early-access waitlist. The app itself — cycle tracking, the older sister, the Circle — is in private testing and is not yet open to the public. This policy covers the data we collect through this website and the early-access sign-up.
When the app opens, we will publish a fuller policy covering health and cycle data, device connections, and the in-app features, and we will ask for your consent again before any of that applies to you. We will not quietly expand what we do with your data under an old policy.
3What we collect, and why
When you join the early-access list, you choose to give us:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | So we can tell you when early access opens and send you occasional news about it. |
| Your first name (optional) | So we can write to you as a person, not a row in a list. |
| Your consent and the time you gave it | So we have a record that you asked to hear from us, as the law requires. |
When your browser contacts our site, our infrastructure provider also processes a small amount of technical data automatically, to keep the service running and to prevent abuse:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A one-way hash of your IP address | Abuse and spam prevention only. We store a scrambled fingerprint, not your actual IP address, and it cannot be reversed back into it. |
| Your browser type (user agent) | To understand and fix display problems, and to spot automated abuse. |
What we do not collect on this website: we do not use advertising cookies, we do not run third-party trackers or analytics pixels, and we do not collect any health, cycle or fertility data here. That data belongs to the app, and the app is not open yet.
4Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on:
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for sending you early-access emails. You gave it by ticking the box when you signed up, and you can withdraw it at any time — see your rights below.
- Our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for the minimal, security-related technical data, so we can keep the site available and protect it from abuse. We have balanced this against your privacy and kept it to the least necessary.
5Who processes your data for us
We keep our list of suppliers short, and we choose them for their security and their data practices. We use:
- Cloudflare — hosts the website, stores the early-access list in a database on our behalf, and routes email sent to our addresses. (Cloudflare privacy policy)
- Resend — delivers the emails we send to you. (Resend privacy policy)
These providers act as our data processors: they handle your data only to provide their service to us, under contract, and not for their own purposes. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, they are bound by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent) to keep your data protected to UK standards.
We do not share your early-access data with Dr Tia Kansara’s or Hema Kansara’s other ventures, and we do not merge it with any other mailing list.
6How long we keep it
We keep your early-access details until the earlier of: the moment you unsubscribe or ask us to erase them, or 24 months after your last interaction with us, after which we review and delete the list if early access has not progressed. The security-related technical data is kept only briefly and then discarded.
7Your rights
Under UK and EU data-protection law you have the right to:
- Be informed — which is what this policy is for.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Erase your data (“the right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format to take elsewhere.
- Withdraw consent at any time, which is as easy as it was to give. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe, or you can write to us.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@wildwoman.app. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, and we will never penalise you for it.
8Keeping it safe
Your data is held on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure. Access is limited to the people who genuinely need it to run the waitlist. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold ourselves to a standard we would want for our own mothers, sisters and daughters — because it is.
9Children
The early-access waitlist is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children through it. When the app opens, any features designed for younger users (such as First Moons) will carry their own, stricter protections and parental consent where required.
10Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, we would like the chance to put it right — please tell us first at privacy@wildwoman.app. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data-protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date and version at the top. If the change is significant — and certainly before the app opens and any health data is involved — we will tell you directly and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
12Contact
Wild Woman — Data protection
Email: privacy@wildwoman.app
We will add a registered postal address and, if and when required, our ICO registration number here before the app opens to the public.
Wild Woman offers wellness education, not medical advice. Always speak with a qualified practitioner about your health. This privacy policy is written to be clear and honest and reflects our genuine practices; it is not a substitute for individual legal advice, and we will have it reviewed by a qualified professional before the app opens to the public.
